About this toolkit

I wish that I had invented it 15 years ago then there would be enough volume to mass produce it but today, there isn't enough volume to manufacture it inexpensively. I have to sell the kit for $215 plus $14 postage and handling.

Tool kit contents and purchase options

A Quick Disconnect Tool attached to an extension to place the Quick Disconnect Tool next the fuel line.
A hearty screw driver to force the Quick Disconnect around the fuel line and is also used to push the Quick Disconnect Tool into the connection and release the two locking pins
The Extracting Tool is used to grab the fuel like and pull it out. After all fuels lines are released, (depending on the year, there could be one or two) the gas tank is ready to be removed and the replacement of the fuel pump can be performed.
The Insertion Tool takes the fuel line and guides it back into position for reassembly. The Insertion Tool pushes the fuel line back into the locked position.
A spare Quick Disconnect Tool is provided.

Make Your Own Tool Option

I would be happy to help you make your own extracting tool. It is easy to make the extraction tool, the insertion tool is too difficult for you to make.

I modify the Dorman 800-009 Disconnect tool to make it easier to pop onto the fuel line. See the photo below.

I insert a sheet metal screw into a 1/4 “ fuel line and crimp the tubing to lock the screw.

The screw driver I buy from Harbor Freight, PITTSBURGH 16 In. Long Reach Demolition Screwdriver Set, 2 Pc. It has the right weight to get the job done.

There are two locking pins in the receptacle in the fuel tank opposing each other. When you slide in the tool, the collar will disengage the two pins in the receptacle and release the fuel line. Since there is an opening (gap) in the disconnect tool, it might not disengage one of the pins so rotate the tool a ¼ turn and reinsert disconnect tool.
